Rockin’ Moroccan: How to Use Argan Oil

Posted on: . Posted in Argan Oil

So Picasso had his Blue Period and Coco Chanel had her little-black-dress phase, but we think we’re in our Moroccan moment since we just can’t get enough of the rich ingredients that come out of this region!

Some refer to it as “liquid gold,” “Moroccan gold” or “Moroccan oil” -- and while each of those coined terms don’t always represent the pure and natural oil, they all do try and contain some of the old-world magic that is argan oil.

By now, most savvy beauty-lovers know about argan oil in some form or another, but we thought we’d share some of our favorite uses for our Argan Oil in its pure, organic, 100-percent natural form:

  • Hair: For split ends, dry hair, or just a daily shine, apply Argan Oil to hair by putting a few drops on your fingertips and working it into wet hair directly after the shower. Use this sparingly, and focus on the ends to get the best results.

  • Hands and Feet: Treat yourself with a natural, at-home spa experience by mixing equal parts of Argan Oil and lemon juice in a bowl and soaking your nails in it for 10-15 minutes. You could even add a little sugar for some scrub if you’re feeling particularly adventurous!

  • Face: While Argan Oil can be directly applied to your face, some skin types find it best to just put  a few drops in their regular moisturizer or sunscreen for an extra boost.

  • Body: Like mixing it to your facial lotion, adding several drops to your hand and body lotion turns any product into gold.

  • Scars and Stretch Marks: For prevention before the marks start (pregnancy pro-tip), or to help fade away those imperfections after, rub in a couple of drops on the marks daily to help reduce the appearance.

Once you get your first bottle of pure Argan Oil, you’ll feel the freedom this simple oil gives you to play and Moroccan up your other skin care products.

Product update time: We think so highly of the stuff that we’re thrilled to announce we’re growing our line with more Moroccan-inspired goodies!
